With their leather jackets, dirty hair and stone cold looks, the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club seemed so formidable Marlon Brando as the band led by road from the classic movie The Wild One that inspires its name.
And indeed, Black Robert Turner, Peter Hayes and Nick Jago. Turner and Hayes met while still in high school, and shared a love for the â € ~ 80 alt-rock genre known as dream pop. With the buzz of the fuzz guitar layers turning each song into a cloud chamber, echo Druggy, the music of My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus and Mary Chain held a special fascination for budding musicians. It was for his musical side, being part of different groups but in time that comes along with Jago for form the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in the 1990s.
After recording a demo, which won many minutes a much needed air at KCRW, which gave exposure great band and helped them develop their niche. In short, had a self-titled debut on the racks of the music store. BRMC critically as the second coming of many of the sounds nebulous sounds popularized in the late â € ~ 80s. That, combined with dirty aspect of garage rock (and style) attracted a lot of fans in the indie-rock scene.
Three years after its debut in 2000, the band released a follow-up. Take Them On, On Your Own reaped the tense sound of their first album, so it's more raw, more aggressive, propelled by a gasoline bitter. Strangely enough, the band will amaze their fans. In 2005, they released third record, Howl â € "but unlike the garage-punk angry that they had been sailing, went to a more soft, softer sound, acoustic. Thereâ € ™ s country influences, thereâ € ™ s blues, thereâ € ™ s undoubtedly popular. It was very different, but more importantly, it was really good. The crash cleared, the fans bought tickets Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and it was just another page BRMC to add to the book.
